Overview
About this program
Studying humanities and social sciences at UdeM
Intended for international or Canadian applicants with a secondary school diploma (DES) from outside Quebec, the 4-year bachelor's provides the ideal opportunity to complete your studies in humanities and social sciences at UdeM. With this unique program, you can immediately pursue your field of study by taking specific courses in your chosen discipline and preparatory courses in your first year. And the good news? Only a single admission application is required.
Note that quota (or limited-enrolment) programs, where the number of UdeM applications exceeds the number of available places, are not offered in the 4-year pathway. Should you wish to take a program that isn't offered in the 4-year path, you will need to submit one application for the preparatory year, plus a second application for the disciplinary program you are interested in.
- Program for students who received their secondary school diploma outside Quebec
- Pathway including preparatory courses and courses in your chosen discipline
- Over 30 disciplines in the fields of science, letters and humanities
- Honour track offered in some study programs
Interested in more than one area of study?
Due to a technical limitation, the admission application only allows you to select one area of study in each 4-year bachelor program. But this doesn’t limit your choices! Simply add the regular disciplinary program that interests you as a 2nd choice in your application, and the Admissions team will help determine the best choice for you once your application has been received!
