En tant qu’étudiante-chercheuse ou étudiant-chercheur du doctorat, vous devez démontrer votre capacité à développer des connaissances originales dans un champ du savoir et acquérir graduellement le plein contrôle de la démarche scientifique à suivre pour atteindre les objectifs du projet.

Devenez scientifique autonome en plus d’acquérir une spécialisation en muséologie. À partir d’un projet de recherche en lien avec l’utilisation de bases de données ou de collections de musées, et défini en collaboration avec votre directrice ou directeur de recherche, vous devez démontrer votre capacité à développer des connaissances originales dans un champ du savoir et acquérir graduellement le plein contrôle de la démarche scientifique à suivre pour atteindre les objectifs du projet.

  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation – these letters are only required for candidates who have not completed their Master's in Biological Sciences at Université de Montréal
  • Outline of a research project (200 to 500 words)
Education

The maximum length is 15 sessions (five years) for full-time students, excluding preparatory or “on leave” sessions. This deadline may be extended by one year with the permission of the department director.

The doctorate program consists of 90 credits. There are two options:

  • General Biology option (segment 70)
  • Museum Studies option (segment 71)
