About this program
Spécialisez-vous dans la common law nord-américaine
En guise de formation continue, ce microprogramme vous permet d’acquérir les connaissances nécessaires à la compréhension des institutions et de l'histoire des systèmes de common law canadien et américain de façon à favoriser une comparaison efficace avec les institutions de droit civil. Vous acquérez, par le fait même, des connaissances en droit comparé anglo-canadien et américain dans les grands domaines du droit (contrats, propriété, responsabilité, famille, procédure civile, etc.). Au fil du parcours, vous apprenez à résoudre des problèmes à l'aide de catégories juridiques de systèmes différents, vous permettant ainsi d'apporter des solutions originales à des problèmes complexes.

General eligibility conditions
To be eligible as a regular student, and subject to the quality of the application, the candidate must either:

Pour être admissible à titre d'étudiant régulier au microprogramme (Common Law nord-américaine), le candidat doit : - satisfaire aux conditions générales d'admissibilité (section XI) du Règlement pédagogique de la Faculté des études supérieures et postdoctorales;
- être titulaire d’un diplôme de 1er cycle décerné par la Faculté de droit de l’Université de Montréal ou d’un diplôme jugé équivalent (une formation de base en droit civil et en Common Law constitue un facteur important pour juger de l’équivalence);
- faire preuve d'une bonne connaissance du français et de l'anglais
