Intended for advanced pianists wishing to pursue specialized studies in piano accompaniment, this program offers 2 areas of concentration, vocal and instrumental, allowing you to focus on your interests and your professional goals. The courses specific to your area of concentration and their applications in practice will give you all the tools needed to pursue a career in the field. This program is tailored for students who have completed a Master’s program in performance and want to be equipped for major international competitions or to pursue a career in a professional field.

This highly professional program prepares you for a career as a concert artist, chamber musician, orchestra musician, or even a back-up musician. You could also pursue a career within a higher education institution, or work in the arts, communications, musical entertainment and education.
If you are interested in pursuing further studies, it’s important to know that some DEPA program seminars may count as credits for the PhD in performance program.
