The following criteria constitute the general eligibility requirements for admission to a bachelor’s degree or any other undergraduate program:

Admission to graduate studies
To be eligible for the 2nd level of study (microprograms, DESS and research or professional master’s degrees), you must:
- Have earned an undergraduate degree from UdeM or a diploma deemed equivalent
- Have earned a bachelor's degree with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 (or the equivalent), have acquired satisfactory experience or have demonstrated significant aptitude for graduate studies (some programs may have an eligibility threshold higher than a 3.0 GPA)
- In a research-focused master's program, find a professor to guide course selection and supervise research work
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of French
- Demonstrate adequate proficiency in English or another language, if required by the program of study
- Meet applicable eligibility requirements (see program description and relevant academic unit website)
To be eligible for the 3rd level of study (research or professional PhD degrees), you must:
- Have earned a master's degree from UdeM or have academic training deemed equivalent
- Have earned a master's degree with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 (or the equivalent) (some programs may have an eligibility threshold higher than a GPA of 3.3)
- In a research-focused program, find a professor to provide guidance on course selection and supervise research work
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of French
- Demonstrate adequate proficiency in English or another language, if required by the program of study
- Meet applicable eligibility requirements (see program description and relevant academic unit website)
