French admissions requirements

To be admissible to an undergraduate program, all applicants must provide proof of their level of French proficiency required by the degree program(s) to which they have applied. If you didn’t complete all your previous studies in a unilingual francophone environment, you will be required to provide proof of your level of French proficiency by sending a certificate of your test results or a diploma accepted by the Université de Montréal. Some suppliers of these tests require one to ten weeks to send results.

An exemption may be requested from UdeM français if the applicant meets one of the specified criteria. Find out more about French language requirements.
