• You can apply for admission at immersion.umontreal.ca. You must create an account and complete the application form.
• The deadline for submitting an application is April 1, 2024.
  

• This program is designed for 15-17 years old. You must provide us with the latest transcript in your possession. If it does not include a teacher's evaluation (as is the case in some school systems), you must include a letter of recommendation for your application to be complete.

• When reviewing your application, we’ll first review your academic record, then we’ll consider several other criteria before we make a decision. That’s why we encourage you to send us a cover letter.

• Once your admissions application is accepted, you’ll receive a commitment contract. You must sign and return it to us.

• A non-refundable deposit of $500 CAD, deductible from the total balance, will also be required to reserve your place.

• In March, we will invite you to choose your language courses based on your fluency in the various options provided.
• You will be required to take a language placement test, which will be conducted online. Don't worry, the results obtained will not influence your admission; they will simply help us form groups according to language proficiency levels.

• A few weeks after you’ve registered, we’ll invite you to choose your workshop themes, plus your sports and sociocultural activities from our many possibilities.

• When making your choices, you must provide your travel and identity documents. See the Required Documents section for details.
  

• Once you’ve completed all of the above steps, we’ll ask you to pay your balance.

• Your final acceptance letter will then be sent to you. Keep it in a safe place so you can start the entry process to Canada. See the Required Documents section to learn about the other documents you’ll be asked to provide.

Children under the age of 18 are considered minors in Canada. They must abide by the same rules as any other visitor when entering Canada.

Upon arrival at border services, the child must present:

• his/her passport - It is not possible to use a parent’s passport, even if the child’s information is included.
• a copy of their birth certificate
• a letter of authorization -This is a certified document written in English or French and consists of two parts: a custodian's declaration with the name, the address and telephone number of the adult who will be responsible for the child in Canada and the parents' declaration, signed by both parents or by the legal guardian.

To help you prepare your file, we will send you this document by email in a .pdf format. The custodian’s declaration will be completed and certified in advance. All you have to do is print it and fill out the part pertaining to you.

Depending on your family situation, you may be asked for additional documents or evidence from border services. Make sure your child leaves with all the appropriate documentation.
