Admissions systems access
There are three main sites (systems) used by applicants and students in the admissions process at Université de Montréal.
|UDEM EXPLORER ACCOUNT||APPLICATION FORM ACCOUNT||SIM ACCOUNT WITH IDENTIFICATION CODE AND UNIP|
|ADMISSIONS AND PROGRAM GUIDE SITE|
The "UdeM Explorer" account is your entry point to Université de Montréal. Use it to log in to admission.umontreal.ca to use your personalized features, including one that lets you customize your Admissions and Program Guide to your own needs.
To access these features, you must create an account with a valid email address and a password of your choice.
If you prefer, you can create an account via social media (Facebook, LinkedIn or Google) or your UdeM account using your identification code and UNIP (UdeM students and employees only).
To create an account, click on "Create an account" in the site header.
To open a session, click on "Login" in the site header.
If you have forgotten your password, click on "Login" and then on "Forgot your password?" Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note that you cannot access the Centre étudiant or the application form with your UdeM Explorer account. For more information, consult the Q&A section under UNIP.
To access the application form, you need one of the following two accounts:
- The account you created specifically for the form when you first accessed it
- Your SIM account (identification code and UNIP) if you are a UdeM student or employee
Applicants who have never studied or worked at UdeM must first create an account to access the form. To create your account, go to the application form and click on "Create an account".
If you cannot access the form, click on "Reset your password".
Enter the user name you selected when you created your account. You will receive an email with instructions at the address you provided when creating the account.
You cannot access the Centre étudiant and the personalized features of the Admissions and Program Guide site with this account. It can only be used to access and submit the application form.
When an applicant submits an application, an identification code (login) and a password called a UNIP (personal identification number) are assigned. They provide access to many services, including the Centre étudiant where applications can be tracked. Once applicants are admitted and have registered for courses, they can use these identifiers to access the UdeM Portal or the University's email service and to log on to computers connected to the UdeM network, among other things.
The identification code and UNIP are assigned to applicants within 24 to 48 hours of the submission of their applications and payment of the relevant fees. Two separate emails are sent. Remember that your password (UNIP) is case sensitive (lower and upper case).
Applicants who have not received or have lost these emails must telephone or email the Office of Admissions and Recruitment to obtain their identification code and UNIP. Students who have their UdeM card on hand can use the automatic UNIP assignment tool online. Find out more.
